Achievements- Software Activities

n      Availability and safe storage of drinking water in all 20 schools.

n      Toilets used and maintained by students in 19 schools

n      20 Parent Teacher Associations - regular meetings .

n      5 hygiene committees in all the 20 schools, for: personal hygiene, food hygiene, toilet and urinal hygiene, school premise hygiene, water hygiene.

n      5 model students selected in all the 20 schools, and meetings held on seven components of hygiene.

n      40 school teachers trainings. (2 in each school)

n      2 block level workshops on water, hygiene and sanitation.

n      Formation, training and meetings of Bal Sansad.

n      Mid- term evaluation of students pertaining to water and hygiene done on regular intervals.

n      Family assessment of 400 families.

n      Regular health and sanitation classes organized at all the schools.

n      Sanitation and health education competitions held from time to time.

Achievements- Hardware Activities

n     2 block sanitation models constructed at Rasoi and Manguan Maintenance of these is done by the students committees.

n     2 hand pumps set up at Rasoi and Noharkalan.

n     Restoration of all the handpumps on regular basis.

n     Wall writings and paintings in school campus.

n     All the present toilets constructed by the government have been refurnished into child friendly toilets, through cross-ventilation and drawings.

n     Construction and maintenance of school and kitchen gardens in 19 schools.

n     Kitchen gardens in 30 house holds.

n     Water tanks constructed near the handpumps for proper disposal of water.

n     Ladle, water containers, matka, and stands distributed in all the schools.
