Construction of 1671 meter sewer line at Sanjay Nagar,
Awadpura, Khajanchi
Baba & Gol Pahadiya with the
support of community.

Repair of 78 meter water line, serving 850 house holds
with the help of 4 supply valves, and 4 sump tanks at
Khajanchi Baba( Valve), Awardpura(Sump Tank) and Gaddhe
Wala Mohalla: Community contribution received in kind and
labor, Government contribution by providing labor.

69 Women Self Help Groups formed, with a membership of
over 814 women, Also formed 2 groups of Girl carpet
weavers (20 members)

Toilets and drinking water facility provided at 8 schools,
which are being maintained by PTA (Parent Teacher
Association) and Children Committees formed in each
school. This has been for the first time that PTA fund has
been used for WASAN activities.

Services of private and government sweepers made regular
and active through memorandums and applications.

93 members within the community brought together through 7
WASAN committees, constituting of 32 Female and 61 male
members.

Repair of 6 borewells with the help of municipal
corporation: Gol Pahadiya, Gaddhe Wala Mohalla, Sanjay
Nagar

Reconstruction of 10,000 liter water tank at Awadpura

Voluntary contribution by WASAN committee and community
for laying road in Sanjay Nagar.

The program has been able to facilitate an active dialogue
between the community and government officials through
advocacy efforts including memorandums, applications and
meetings.

Regular trainings and orientations have facilitated the
groups formed at the project level to work more
efficiently in campaign mode. Most of these groups have
come to the fore front and started to take initiatives in
discussing issues related to WASAN, and finding solutions
on their own.

Problems related to water and sanitation are taken on top
priority by the municipal corporation.
