Pulse Polio Campaign:

Sambhav has had the opportunity to play an active role to contribute in the pulse polio campaign. Shri Padam Sambhav Eye Hospital has been identified as a booth alongwith some of the staff members being selected as the volunteers for the campaign.  The hospital has been able to outreach over 2000 children so far under the campaign.

 Tuberculosis (DOTS):

Tuberculosis has always been on the priority list of Sambhav. The base hospital (Shri Padam Sambhav Eye Hospital) at Shivpuri has been identified as a DOTS center by the DOTS program and is presently helping in reaching 8 TB patients.

Chickungunya:

This year Shivpuri and neighboring areas experience a serious outbreak of Chickungunya spread throughout. District hospital and private hospitals alone seemed to be not enough to address the patient load. Sambhav with its available infrastructure this year responded to the issue through large scale preventive information dissemination through mobile exhibition, pamphlet distribution and audio-visual. and check-up facility at the Base hospital. Around 500 patients of chickungunya and related diseases were seen and treated during this exercise.
